GAME CONCEPT
As a captain of a space vessel tasked to explore the galaxy, the player faces off against the hordes of evil in a top down roguelike shooter, accompanied by your loyal crew whose skills and teamwork allow you to overcome any challenge both within enemy ships as well as in the hidden waters of space.
GAME SCOPE & ACHIEVEMENTS
Succesfully managed a team of 22 multi-disciplined developers through the development and release of a PC game over a time period of 124 days by:
- Sprint Plannings with team members to plan future work and manage dependencies resulting in strong, clear and feasible sprints.
- Build Reviews to facilitate iterative design processes and reach the highest possible quality resulting in a high quality project and playable builds throughout the entire development process.
- Improving and iterating on production processes to accomodate to new challenges resulting in a highly engaged team.
- In depth talks with individual team members to anticipate roadblocks and encourage a comfortable work environment resulting in a welcoming and open team environment.
- Frequent communication with stakeholders to define deadlines and facilitate a healthy development process resulting in happy clients and inspired developers.
- Teaching and helping team members with the usage of JIRA and scrum process resulting in autonomous developers.
- Periodic peer reviews to encourage an open and honest production environment and facilitate developer feedback resulting in a constant increase in team member work quality and work ethics.
- Periodic progress updates to oversee and communicate the productivity of the team with reached deadlines as a result.
- Sprint retrospectives to a smooth development process and team dynamic.
- Creation of strong and motivational presentations to encourage potential developers to join our project resulting in a 35% increase in team strength.
